Breaking News : I am returning back to India this weekend. I have already mentioned before that I was on sabbatical. But, my leave is finish. I am joining back my office next Monday.But...but...but...I am returning alone.I mean I am coming , but my heart (husband who/what else ;)) will be here, in USA.

Webcam ...long distance call....time difference...here we come !!

Wish me safe journey :-)

Yes, at last my first saree outfit post :)
In last week, I was going for an Indian birthday party and wanted to wear a complete Indian traditional outfit. And this is the end result !(:

A(a.k.a my boyfriend a.k.a. my bestfriend a.k.a. my husband) gifted me this bomkai saree before our marriage. #those good old days.... I miss those days#.But, this was the first time I wore this saree and kept it simple with only golden bangle and ear-ring !

For, all my non Indian fellow bloggers / readers,

A sari or saree is a strip of unstitched cloth, worn by females, ranging from four to nine yards in length that is draped over the body in various styles. It is popular in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Burma, Malaysia, and Singapore. The most common style is for the sari to be wrapped around the waist, with one end then draped over the shoulder baring the midriff.

The sari is usually worn over a petticoat (लहंगा lahaṅgā or "lehenga" in the north, langa/pavada/pavadai in the south, chaniyo, parkar, ghaghra, ghagaro in the west, and shaya in eastern India), with a blouse known as a choli or ravika forming the upper garment. The blouse has short sleeves and a low neck and is usually cropped at the midriff, and as such is particularly well-suited for wear in the sultry South Asian summers. Cholis may be backless or of a halter neck style. These are usually more dressy with plenty of embellishments such as mirrors or embroidery, and may be worn on special occasions. Women in the armed forces, when wearing a sari uniform, don a short-sleeved shirt tucked in at the waist. The sari developed as a garment of its own in both South andNorth India at around the same time, and is in popular culture an epitome of Indian culture. The sari signified the grace of Indian women adequately displaying the curves at the right places. And, to me, the perfect matching accessories for my saree is not the jewelry, but smile. (:

It's that time of year again, the birds are beginning to return to snowbound northern cities, the first buds of spring are sprouting on trees and hordes of college students are descending on the beaches. This is the time of  sunburn, margaritas and wet T shirt. Ah, spring break.

But, but, but...I am not into School...not into University ...So spring break is not for me...right ? Well.....but I do dream...and I do day dream, too ! So, Spring Break...you are mine (:

And,... my destination is Cancun, Mexico ! Turquoise water, dazzling white sand,  blazing sun, tropical breezes, icy margaritas, glittering hotels, immaculate streets and company of my BFF ...should I ask anything more ?!?

My packing (wish) list is endless ... below are some glimpse of it.

What is Pastel ?

Direct from wiki :
"Pastel is an art medium in the form of a stick, consisting of pure powdered pigment and a binder. The pigments used in pastels are the same as those used to produce all colored art media, including oil paints; the binder is of a neutral hue and low saturation.
The color effect of pastels is closer to the natural dry pigments than that of any other process."

And, to me ....it is the another name of my infancy! puzzled ?.....yes, yes, I am talking about those pastel crayons ....I used to do paint with those color candy on the wall of our bedroom, on our terrace, on my copybook and obviously on my drawing book ! (:

They are inseparable from my childhood and so from me !

Well,.....here comes my fashion-hood ! ;)
